Boat trip Braassemermeer
Beautiful riparian lands, a fantastic place to sail.

The Braassemermeer is one of the jewels of Kaag en Braassem. This lake has a water surface of 425 hectares and beautiful riparian lands. A fantastic place to sail. The Braassemermeer is particularly popular with sailors, but it is also an important because of the (standing mast) route. (Source)

The Braassemermeer with its surrounding waters such as: Wijde Aa, Langeraarse plassen, Westeinderplassen and Zegerplas, forms a real base in the Hollandse Plassen area. This network carried the former merchant shipping from the villages to the big cities.

This area has many possibilities and is full of activities. The many villages around this lake, such as Roelofarendsveen, Rijnsaterwoude and Woubrugge, are characterized by intensive agriculture and horticulture. For more than 100 years, the peat and clay polders have been an excellent breeding ground for vegetable cultivation in the past and later cut flower cultivation.
